Progression
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 5, 2026
Publisher: Third Watch Labs (Edward Talcott)
Progression ("the app") is a milestone-tracking app published by Third Watch Labs. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
Data we collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our own servers. Third Watch Labs does not operate any backend, analytics service, or advertising SDK for this app.
All content you create in the app - profile names, categories, subcategories, milestones, progress status, and preferences - is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage.
Optional Google Drive backup
The app offers an optional feature to back up your data to your own Google Drive account. If you choose to use this feature:
- You sign in with your Google account and grant the app permission to read and write files it creates in your Drive.
- Backup files are stored in your Google Drive under your control. Third Watch Labs never receives, sees, or has access to these files.
- You can revoke the app's Drive access at any time from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Deleting a backup file from your Drive permanently removes it; we hold no copy.
This feature is entirely opt-in. If you do not use it, no data ever leaves your device.
Data sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit user data to any third party, because we do not have access to any user data in the first place.
Children's privacy
Progression is designed to help parents, coaches, and educators track the development of children and learners. Any information about children entered into the app (such as first names) is stored only on the device of the adult using the app and, if enabled, in that adult's personal Google Drive. Third Watch Labs does not collect information from children.
Permissions the app requests
- Internet / Google Sign-In / Drive access - only used if you opt into Google Drive backup.
- Storage - used only to read/write the app's own database and to import/export JSON files you explicitly choose.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
